This year I had the pleasure of watching a pair of barn swallows create a nest above our front door.    I didn't take any photos while the babies were very young as I didn't want to scare the parents off but I would like to share with you the photos I have taken since the babies were older.    They fledged yesterday and only one comes back to the nest today and I am sure by tomorrow even it will have left.    There were five babies in the nest, how they managed to fit in there during the last few days I don't know but please enjoy the following photos.
